One popular feed format we accept is Google's Products US Feed Specification in the tab-delimited, CSV, or RSS format. If you already send your listings to Google, be sure you specify a single "product type" to tell us where you would like to place your listing.

Please check below to see our standard and required fields. If your feed has different field names, tell us and we may be able to take care of it for you. If you're not sure what format your feed file is, sign up and we'll review it for you. Contact Us if you have any questions.

To speed up the transfer of your feed to us, we highly recommend compressing your feed file with either Zip or GZip. When you compress your file, be sure to end your file name with .zip to tell us you used Zip compression or .gz to gell us you used GZip compression.

id - (up to 32 characters) Your unique identifyer for the listing. This will not be visible. The ID should not change for the life of the listing.

title - (up to 255 characters) The name or brief description of your product. Currently, we display the first 80 characters but will increase soon.

description - Describe your product in detail. You can use the following basic HTML formatting tags to enhance your description; <b>, <i>, <br />, <p>, <li>, <ol>, <ul>, <em>, <tt>, <big>, <small>, <strong>, <center>, and <blockquote>. All other HTML, CSS, and javascript will be removed.

link - The URL of the item on your website. Don't forget to include "http://".

Sell.com category number - The Sell.com category identification number where you would like to place your listing. This number will override Google's "product type" field. If we do not know where to place your listing, it will still appear in searches, but may not appear when someone browses our categories.

product type - One Google product category in text format. Try to use the most specific category for your item. This will help us place your listing. If you include more than one category, we'll take the first one. This field is not necessary if you include the "Sell.com category number" field. If we do not know where to place your listing, it will still appear in searches, but may not appear when someone browses our categories.
For example, "Cameras & Optics > Cameras > Digital Cameras > Digital SLRs".

brand - The name of the items maker.

condition - (new, used, or refurbished)

image link - (up to 7 URLs) A list of comma-separated URLs indicating the image locations. The first URL should be your best image of the product because the first image will be the most prominent image in your listing. Don't forget to include "http://".

isbn - Either the 10 or 13 digit number associated with a book. If you have both, we prefer the 13 digit number.

model number - The product number assigned by the manufacturer.

mpn - The manufacturer's part number.

price - (decimal number) The price of your item in US Dollars. The price should not include the dollar sign.

upc - The 12 digit number below the bar code.

weight - Describe the amount and unit of weight.
For example, 12 pounds 4 ounces

daily featured - (decimal number no smaller than 0.10) Your per day featured level. Featured listings receive priority placement on home, search, and category browse pages. The more you spend, the higher your listing priority. If your rate plan already has preferred placement, your daily featured will increase your priority further.

bold - (y or n) Use "y" to bold your listing title in search results. Cost per listing is about $0.03 per day. Non-basic rate plans may include bold at no additional cost.

highlight - (y or n) Use "y" to highlight your listing in search results. Cost per listing is about $0.03 per day. Non-basic rate plans may include highlight at no additional cost.

display_priority - (integer from 1 to 100) Specify the order the listings should be displayed in your store. Listings with higher display_priority numbers will appear first and above listings without a display_priority.

color - Describe the color details

compatible with - If you are selling a part or accessory, list out the products that your item fits.

height - Describe the number and unit of measurement.
For example, 3 feet 11 inches

length - Describe the number and unit of measurement.
For example, 1 foot 0.5 inch

online only - (y or n) Use "y" when the item is only available for purchase online. Use "n" if there are also other ways to purchase the item.

payment accepted - (cash, check, visa, mastercard, americanexpress, discover, or wiretransfer) Describe the payment methods you accept in a comma-separated list.
For example, cash,visa,mastercard

quantity - The number of items you have for sale.

width - Describe the number and unit of measurement.
For example, 1 inch

year - The four digit year the item was produced.
For example, 2007

Other fields not specified in our required, recommended or optional list may be shown in your listing description.

Our requirements are the same as specified on Google's Products US Feed Specification for the tab-delimited format.

• The file must be tab-delimited plain text.
• The first line of the file is the header -- it must contain attribute names, separated by tabs.
• One item per line; separate each attribute in that line by a tab.
• Do not include trailing tabs at the end of lines.
• Do not include tabs or line breaks in the attributes themselves
