The Sell.com Rights Owner Compliance System (ROCS) allows certain validated members to notify us of ads which infringe on their intellectual property rights. ROCS participants may be a rights owner or a representative authorized to act on the owner's behalf. This program relies on the rights owner's expertise to review authenticity and recognize intellectual property rights infringement.
ROCS participants review ads individually and notify Sell.com if they feel the ad infringes on their rights. These requests may, in some cases, be reviewed by Sell.com. Sellers will receive an email with the ROCS participant's contact information and further instructions shortly after a claim has been made. Sellers will also have the opportunity to respond the ROCS participant and Sell.com if they feel their ad does not infringe on the rights holder.
Sell.com has developed ROCS in order to comply with federal laws and statutes. In many cases, our ability to respond to allegations from rights holders is limited. More information about trademark and copyright laws, the Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA), and your rights, are available via other online resources.
