This vehicle was designed for Good Humor to sell ice cream. The vehicle has been extremely well maintained. It has been repainted inside and out. It has a four door Cold-plate freezer. Plug it in at night and it holds to zero temp throughout the next day. The freezer measures 6ft. long, by 4ft.deep by 3ft. high. It has a stainless steel ext. and holds a tremendous amount of ice cream.
The truck has some unique features. The original jinglebells hang above the windshield and operate on a pull cord. It has a musicbox which will need a hookup. It has original red, white and blue canopies above the 3ft. service window and on drivers side of truck. The service window lights up for night time operation.
The truck is on a heavy duty Ford chassy with custom built body. It has a straight 6 Ford gas engine, automatic trans. and rear wheel drive. It is solid starts right up and runs great. The fuel, temp. and oil gauges on dash have not worked since I purchased truck 27 years ago and have not been a problem. Also, swing-out stop sign needs to be hooked up if you need it for operation. I didn't because I had a permanent location for sales. Body and interior of vehicle are in extremely good condition.
There are many extras that come with the truck including: trailer hitch, captains-chair, locking gas cap, steering wheel-brake lock, co2 tanks and adapter to blow out refrigeration coils, spare tire, floor jack and lug wrench, extremely heavy duty extension cord for 110 hookup with the box, fire ext., cashbox, popcorn sign and commercial popcorn, coffee and hot fudge machines. New, the Cold-plate freezer was worth over $10,000.00, not to mention the antique value of the truck.
I had the refrigeration completely checked in May 2004 and it ran perfect thru Oct. I also have receipts for much of the recent and some of the past work done. Which includes: new tires, exhaust system, radiator, engine and trans mounts, rebuilt carb., trans rebuilt in early 80s., and engine rebuilt in early 90s. There are appoximately 32,000 miles on the rebuilt engine.
Due to poor health I must give up this little piece of history. I have tried to be as honest with this description as possible and will be happy to answer any ? you may have exclusively thru sell.com. I've owned this truck since 1977 and it has been a wonderful money maker. I'm sure it will do the same for you.
