cardinals at cowboys 1999--
CARDINALS 20 COWBOYS 7
Quarterback Jake Plummer passed for 213 yards and two touchdowns as he led the Cardinals to their first playoff victory since 1947. Their victory was especially satisfying against the Cowboys, who defeated them twice during the season. Arizona running back Adrian Murrell rushed for 95 yards and caught 2 passes for 16 yards and a touchdown, while their defense sacked Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman four times (twice by linebacker Jamir Miller) and intercepted three of his passes (two by defensive back Aeneas Williams).
On the Cardinals second possession of the game, Plummer completed a 59-yard pass to receiver Frank Sanders, setting up Murrell's 11-yard touchdown catch a few plays later. Later in on, the Cardinals increased their lead to 10-0 with Chris Jacke's 37 yards field goal with 19 seconds left in the half.
On the first play of the second half, Murrell took off for a 74-yard run to the Cowboys 3-yard line. It was the longest postseason run ever surrendered by the Cowboys in their 52-postseason game history. On the next play, Plummer threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to fullback Larry Centers, making the score 17-0. In the fourth quarter, Arizona defensive back Aeneas Williams recorded his second interception from Aikman, setting up a 46-yard field goal by Jacke. Meanwhile, all Dallas could do was score a meaningless touchdown on Aikman's 6-yard pass to Billy Davis with 3:33 left in the game.

The Jets made more of an effort to establish their running game but could not do much, and Martin had 20 carries for 64 yards.Meanwhile, Dallas ran all over the Jets and had 119 yards on the ground in the first half alone. Former Jets player Richie Anderson finished with 37 yards on five carries plus four receptions for 46 yards.

Texans at Dallas 2006--
COWBOYS 34 TEXANS 6
Terrell Owen stood on a star logo at Texas Stadium again. This time, it led to a standing ovation. Owens capped his turnaround from local scourge to fan favorite by catching three second-half touchdowns and taking the Dallas Cowboys from a tight game against the Houston Texans to an easy 34-6 victory Sunday. All the Cowboys had to enjoy this one, from the offense putting up 31 points after halftime, scoring on five of six possessions, to the defense not allowing a touchdown for the second straight home game. Owens caught a 3-yard touchdown on the opening drive of the third quarter despite pass interference called on his defender, putting Dallas ahead for the first time. He stretched the lead by making a nice adjustment on a 21-yard pass caught in the end zone between two Texans, then capped his big day with a 2-yard TD and the kind of celebration everyone's expected since Owens arrived in Dallas. Making sure he was standing on one of the helmets in the end zone, Owens arched his back and spread his arms in the same look-at-me pose that got him in trouble when he was playing for San Francisco in 2000. After giving the ball to someone in the stands, he ran back across the field waving his arms and fans responded with more cheers and a standing ovation. Bledsoe went 17-of-28 for 168 yards with no turnovers. He threw the first two TDs to Owens. Owens' third TD pass came from Tony Romo, the fourth-year backup who'd never thrown a pass until Sunday. He replaced Bledsoe midway through the final drive and completed both his attempts, a 33-yarder to Sam Hurd, then the lob to a wide-open Owens.

eagles at Dallas 2004---Terrell Owens got the fun started with a 59-yard touchdown he considered so easy that he celebrated by pretending to ice skate in the end zone. Then he followed a 27-yarder with his favorite Texas Stadium pose, spreading out his arms while standing on the Dallas Cowboys' logo. When he scored again, Owens just dunked the ball over the crossbar. Might as well save the good stuff for a tight game, because by then the Philadelphia Eagles were well on their way to a 49-21 victory. Donovan McNabb made sure the Eagles bounced back from their only loss this season, throwing four touchdown passes and setting up another with an incredible, scrambling 60-yard completion. Lito Sheppard capped a record-setting night for both teams with a 101-yard interception return for another score in the closing minutes.
49'ers at Dallas 2002 dallas wins a close one 31-27
Seahawks at Dallas 2002---Rian Lindell kicked a 20-yard field goal with 25 seconds left, giving the Seattle Seahawks a 17-14 victory over the Dallas Cowboys and new rushing record-holder Emmitt Smith on Sunday. Smith broke Walter Payton's record on an 11-yard run with 9:10 left in the game. He finished with 24 carries for 109 yards, both season highs, and has 16,743 yards over his 13-year career. Payton had 16,726 yards over 13 seasons. Dallas lost its second straight in the debut of rookie quarterback Chad Hutchinson, whose last football game was as a sophomore at Stanford in 1997. Hutchinson, who spent the last four years playing in the St. Louis Cardinals organization, was 12-of-24 for 145 yards with a 39-yard touchdown to Joey Galloway. He was sacked twice.
Miami at Dallas 11-26-2003 --
DOLPHINS 40 COWBOYS 21
Mario Edwards chased Chris Chambers down the sideline, never looking up for the ball. Edwards banged into the receiver, drawing a pass interference penalty on the first play of the game. The tone was set. And it wasn't a good one for the Dallas Cowboys. The Dolphins went on to score on the opening drive, something no team had done against Dallas in 22 games. Miami kept scoring, too, all the way to a 40-21 victory Thursday. Other than Richie Anderson, who had the first two-touchdown game of his 11-year career, pretty much everyone wearing the throwback, double-star jerseys could be criticized. The offense had just 10 yards in the first quarter, recovered to get within nine points at halftime, then quarterback Quincy Carter blew it with four second-half turnovers. His fumble on the opening drive of the third quarter was returned 34 yards for a touchdown and the rout was on. Carter was 24-of-40 for 288 yards, but he had 141 in the fourth quarter when the game was pretty much decided. Jay Fiedler, making his first start since Oct. 19, was 16-of-20 for 239 yards and three touchdowns, all to Chris Chambers, and ran for another score. Once he stopped throwing, Ricky Williams started running, gaining 104 yards.

Dallas at Atlanta 2006---In the first quarter, Dallas took an early lead with QB Tony Romo completed a 7-yard TD pass to WR Terrell Owens for the only score of the period. In the second quarter, the Cowboys increased its lead as on the very first play, OLB Demarcus Ware returned an interception 41 yards for a touchdown. However, the Falcons started to fight back with QB Michael Vick completing a 1-yard TD pass to FB Justin Griffith and a 9-yard TD pass to WR Michael Jenkins. The Cowboys struck back with Romo and Owens hooking up with each other again with a 51-yard TD pass. Yet again, Atlanta fought back with Vick completing an 8-yard TD pass to WR Ashley Lelie. In the third quarter, Dallas temporarily fell behind with Vick completing 5-yard TD pass to Griffith. Afterwards, the Cowboys regained control with kicker Martin Gramatica's 48-yard field goal and RB Marion Barber 9-yard TD run. In the fourth quarter, Barber helped the Cowboys wrap the game up with a 3-yard TD run. With the win, Dallas improved to 9-5.

The facts support Brees' side of the story. Facing his former boss for the first time, Payton called for a reverse on a fourth-and-1 and made featured players out of guys who had never scored. Everything he drew up worked so well that the first-year head coach was brazen enough to call for an onside kick while his New Orleans Saints already were well on their way to a 42-17 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. The onside kick worked too, by the way, making the Saints (9-4) big winners in a showdown for sole possession of the second-best record in the NFC. "I have a ton of respect for Bill and all he's accomplished in Dallas," Payton said of the man he was an assistant to for the last three seasons. "This was two good 8-4 teams playing a big game. It wasn't me competing against Bill. It was about the teams, not the head coaches." Yeah, right, said Brees, who took advantage of Payton's nifty play-calling to match his career high with five touchdown passes, all before the third quarter ended. The only excitement in the fourth was Payton getting doused by a bucket of Gatorade. "I could tell it was very special for him," said Brees, who was 26-of-38 for 384 yards. "He didn't put a lot of added pressure on us this week. He just went on with his business. But I could see in the gleam in his eye at the end of the game. ... I could tell it meant a lot."
Parcells absorbed most of this one with his lips pinched and his arms crossed. Not even Tony Romo could save the Tuna from the embarrassment. Romo had the worst game of his budding career: 16-of-33 for 249 yards, with two interceptions and a fluke touchdown to Terrell Owens on what would have been another pickoff if cornerback Fred Thomas wasn't wearing a cast.

Denver at Dallas 2005---In the annual Thanksgiving Day Game, the Dallas Cowboys hosted the Denver Broncos. The Cowboys offense had 314 yards, greater than Denver's 293 yards, but Cowboys kicker Billy Cundiff a missed field goal in the fourth quarter so the game went into overtime. Denver won the coin toss and Broncos backup quarterback Ron Dayne ran 55 yards on the second play in overtime and Jason Elam kicked the game winning field goal.
giants at Dallas 2007---The juiced-up defense that Wade Phillips supposedly is bringing to the Dallas Cowboys isn't here yet. Luckily for him, Tony Romo, Terrell Owens and Marion Barber are still around. Barber got things rolling with an 18-yard touchdown run on fourth-and-1, Owens added two highlight-reel touchdown catches and Tony Romo made up for a late interception with a 51-yard touchdown pass to Sam Hurd to seal a 45-35 victory against the injury-depleted New York Giants. Romo threw for a career-high 345 yards and four touchdowns, plus ran for another score, as the Cowboys opened by the Phillips era by matching the most points they ever scored the past four years under Bill Parcells.
cowboys at dolphins 2007---Terrell Owens burned the Miami Dolphins, mocked the New England Patriots and savored a 2-0 start by the Dallas Cowboys. Owens' fourth-down touchdown reception with four minutes left Sunday helped seal the Cowboys' 37-20 win over Miami. He celebrated by leaning against the goal post and holding the ball to his face as if videotaping with it, his way of poking fun at the spying scandal involving Patriots' coach Bill Belichick. After winning a shootout in the season opener, the Cowboys this time relied on five takeaways. They intercepted Trent Green four times and recovered a fumbled snap. Green also fumbled attempting a spike play late in the first half, possibly costing Miami points.
