Deep ruby glass dinnerware has attracted many collectors and Avon Cape Cod is one of the most beautiful of the patterns.
The design, based on an old Sandwich Glass pattern, was introduced in 1975. This was Avon Product's first venture into a dinnerware line and, because it was well received, Avon continued to make more items until the pattern was discontinued in 1993.
In all, 37 different pieces were produced: with special variations on four of them in celebration of activities at Avon.
This guide has over 130 color photographs that beautifully display all the pieces known. The text includes the date when each design was approved, the name of the designer, and the number of molds used. The original mold drawings are reproduced here because they contain additional identifying information.
Also included are the boxed prices and values for other Avon products that were sold with some Cape Cod pieces. Prices for all the pieces are included in the captions.
