Product Description:
Tretinoin (anti-oxidant Vitamin A cream -- brand name Retin-A cream) improves the deeper collagen layer, by restoring health and thickness to this layer as well as improved blood supply. This results in smoother, firmer skin and helps eliminate fine wrinkles. Your skin will look and feel smoother and softer.
This can be used daily or every other day.
How to Use Tretinoin Cream 0.05%:
This is a prescription product. Please follow instructions carefully to avoid any harsh skin reactions. Wash with a mild, non-medicated cleanser. Do not scrub. Allow skin to dry to 20-30 minutes before applying Tretinoin. It is important for skin to be completely dry to minimize irritation. Apply Tretinoin every night or every other night as directed by a physician. Use only half an inch of cream to spread over the face. Do not oversaturate the skin. Avoid the corners of the nose, mouth, eyes, and open wounds. If excessive peeling or irritation occurs, then reduce use to two nights a week. If redness, swelling, or irritation continues, discontinue use. Tretinoin takes time to work deep within your skin. Some discomfort or peeling may occur in early days of treatment. This should subside in 2 to 4 weeks. By 3 to 6 weeks, acne may worsen. This is normal. Continue using Tretinoin and you should notice an improvement in 6 to 12 weeks.
Caution: Therapy with Tretinoin may make your skin more susceptible to sunburn and other adverse effects of the sun. Apply a sunscreen every morning after cleansing. Also, try to avoid excessive exposure to wind or cold.
Pregnancy and Nursing Advisory: In an effort to avoid injury to the developing baby, most skin care topicals have not been clinically tested on pregnant or nursing women; therefore, we advise that they not be used. Products containing hydroquinoine and tretinoin or similar topicals such as products containing retinol should NOT be used when pregnant or nursing. You should also discontinue the use of skin care products containing these ingredients for at least one month before contemplating pregnancy. If in doubt, please refer to the product insert for further information and consult with your physician.
