CODE NAME; FOXFIRE
The fate of the nation (or at least of NBC's Friday night Schedule) rested in the hands of three sexy government agents in this hard-action cross between the James Bond movies and Charlie's Angels. The leader was former CIA operative Liz "Foxfire" Towne, who had just served four years in prison for a crime she hadn't committed. She had been spring by Larry Hutchins, the brother of the president, to organize a special counterespionage team reporting directly to him. Liz's partners were Maggie "the Cat. a resourceful, streetwise, former hansom cabdriver from New York. They were hard-nosed and tough, or elegant and sophisticated, as the assignment demanded. Also on Liz's mind, understandably, was tracking the former lover who had abandoned her in Bogota and thereby been responsible for her imprisonment. Phillips was Hutchin's stuffy valet who helped out at unexpected times.
