This is a terrific nostalgic DVD for Cincinatti Reds baseball fans ! The 25 minute show in very nice color is entitled "Reds Baseball-Building for '83". This was filmed by the Reds organization as a review of, and essentially an apology for, the 1982 season in which the Reds had a terrible year. In fact, the film opens with General Manager Dick Wagner looking into the camera from his desk and explaining that he knows the year was unacceptable but that the players on the team are the right ones to win with in 1983 !
Then there are extensive highlights of the 1982 season, which are great to watch. Johnny Bench, Mario Soto, Dave Concepcion, Dan Driessen and many other Reds stars are shown. And to make it even more fun, the show has the original Pabst Blue Ribbon beer commercials ! Great stuff. The color picture is very good.
