Eucalyptus - Eucalyptus is best known for the ability to relieve congestion and ease breathing in colds. The oil is also of much use as a pain reliever for sore, or overextended muscles and arthritis pain. The essential oil of eucalyptus contains cineole, a potent antiseptic that helps kill bacteria and fungi.
Lavender - A calming relaxant. Medicinally, Lavender has anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal properties. In this synergy, I use lavender to tone down the other oils in the blend.
Cypress - Ancient Greco-Roman culture used cypress medicinally and as a purifying incense. The pine scent of Cypress helps to compliment the Eucalyptus in clearing the sinuses.
Peppermint – The menthol in this plant gives its oil a powerful punch when it comes to helping the sinuses. Medicinally, mint appears in every list of herbs passed down to us, Egyptian, Greek, Roman, medieval and American Colonial.
