This ad is for two DVDs (a movie and a documentary) about Genie, a severly neglected girl found in California in 1970 and deemed to be a "Wild Child".
You will get 2 DVDs for the price listed:
The first is a documentary called "Wild Child" about feral children, and Genie is one of the kids profiled. Includes interviews with her workers, her doctors, the police who removed her, photos and video of Genie (including the actual house she was removed from.)
The second is a very rare movie made about the case called "Mockingbird Don't Sing". It follows the case of Genie - from her birth to her escape and her recovery. The movies stars Sean Young, Tarra Betts, Jack Betts and Kim Darby.
Genie is the pseudonym for a feral child who spent nearly all of the first thirteen years of her life locked inside a bedroom strapped to a potty chair. She was a victim of one of the most severe cases of social isolation in American history. Genie was discovered by Los Angeles authorities on November 4, 1970 when her blind mother took her from the home to get help.
