The beautiful detailed brilliant colors in this painting DRAGON MEADOW GRANARY has what we would call creative developmental composition to it. Meaning this painting has several aspects to it,s composition, all the aspects must be given equal exposure for anyone to fully appreciate the real beauty in this painting as well as a time long past by. [ ]
One of the very importunate aspects is perhaps finding a way to satisfy a need for someone in that world beyond,so it most definitely seems, although unexplainable happenings have occurred while working on this painting. In any event, this is about two very happy people who lived and worked as well as having all the joys and sorrows of life in a very rural time in 1883 , that is very distant and inconceivable to us, with only very vague dim thoughts of how people in the past must have lived.
I consider myself very fortunate to be able read into the past lives of these two loving people through the memorabilia they left behind As to how I came in possession of this memorabilia, it was through a sell it again store.I was never in this store before, something just drew me to it,I would say.And so amidst a stack of just books on a table haphazardly lying about,Oh yes, one book to me definitely stood out why I don,t know I wasn't looking for any books,I wasn't,looking for anything in particular that day.
I am not sure why I even went into this store.For what ever reason this book caught my attention. I suppose it did stand out with it,s shiny brown embossed well designed leather cover with a brass buckle and brass eyelet strap that was clasp shut. Curiosity got me I suppose, even though the corners were warn through it still was a classy looking book.Strange wouldn't you say ,I bought a book because of it,s cover with no print on the outside cover saying anything about it or I never even bothered to open this book, very strange of me , some would say..
In any event, I paid the lady her asking price of five dollars after some bickering to no avail ,as I left under her breath you could hear her say,ETA,SA GUD,A PRICE,YOU VANT FOR NOTING, I went back to my studio ,this was uneventful thank god. At my studio I sat down with a cup of coffee and my new found treasure of five dollars, Yes the curiosity was making me very impatient fumbling to undue the buckle, saying to myself what can be inside this book ,what is it all about. Inside the book cover was the name Sallyanne.
It also had a inside cover pocket that was made from fine soft leather embossed with a flower design around the edges . One very noticeable thing when opening this book the sent of lilac,s became very predominate , in any event the pocket had many pictures in it , all black and white warn through on the edges, some were family pictures I suppose, one of which was a tattered picture of what looked like a old mill with water wheel .
Even though it was a black and white picture this one looked special to me, it was of a barn with a sign on it that said Granary ,and other things as well, that,s all I could make out. It looked rather run down with a water wheel leaning against the rock foundation, every thing seemed abandoned . The meadow still looked beautiful, flowering vines, mountains lakes pine trees everywhere, a rushing creek with a large waterfall, massive rocks here and their ,a huge cave on the side of a mountain next to the water fall. This most definitely must have been a very memorable beautiful place to this lady Sallyanne having some very special heart filled memories to it,to say the very least ..

This is a better than 450 page Journal I came across at a sell again store, about a lady named Sallyanne her life in detail about her loves, sorrows ,very happy times, from age 23 to her passing at age 89 in 1883 , what it was really like to have lived in those times , and I,ll tell you what it was not all that bad.They new how to live , how to survive, how to adjust to any given circumstance with a smile , be happy and thankful every day of their lives, so it seams .
