THIS IS THE VERY RARE FILM CALLED CONFLICT AKA JUDITH ...STARRING SOPHIA LOREN AND PETER FINCH ..THE FILM HAS NEVER BEEN RELEASED COMMERCIALLY 1947, Palestine. A U.N. Treaty, parallelled to the Balfour treaty of 30 years before, is about to come into effect. The British move out May 14th, then the Arab tanks move in with the promise of the total annihilaiton of the re-born state of Israel. To stop such a confrontation with defeat, the Israeli Secret Service must find out the route of the invading army. The answer lies in the hands of a Nazi war criminal based in Syria. He must be kidnapped and taken to israel for interrogation in order to effect the advantage of this conflict.
....Judith is a 1966 drama film made by Command Productions, Cumulus Productions and Paramount Pictures. It was directed by Daniel Mann, produced by Kurt Unger from a screenplay by John Michael Hayes based on the story by Lawrence Durrell. The music score was by Sol Kaplan and the cinematography by John Wilcox.
The film stars Sophia Loren,Peter Finch and Jack Hawkins with Hans Verner, Frank Wolff, Shraga Friedman, André Morell, Zaharira Harifai, Terence Alexander and Daniel Ocko.
