GEORGE BURNS IN CONCERT DVD!
"I remember when the air was clean and sex was dirty."
On January 20, 1896, Nathan Birnbaum was born destined to become George Burns, one of this Nation's greatest comedic performers. Drawn to show business as a small child, singing on street corners for pennies, Burns never seriously considered any other calling. He floundered in vaudeville for many years until he met Gracie Allen in 1922, when the couple inaugurated the act that worked for them in film and radio in the early 1930s and into television in October 1950. After Gracie died in 1964, Burns appeared in the film version of The Sunshine Boys, the success of which led to other film work including Oh God!, television specials, books and his status as a true immortal.
George Burns in Concert was originally broadcast on HBO on March 14, 1996, one week after his death and three months after his 100th birthday. Sit back and enjoy an hour's worth of observations, song and laughter from one of America's greatest comedians.
