Special Unit 2 (SU2) is a secret division of the Chicago Police Department. They are such a mystery that no one outside of their unit is aware of what they really do, they just know to stay out of their way. The SU2 headquarters is an abandoned subway station that you can only enter through the hidden door at the back of the Golden Eagle dry cleaners. The mission of SU2 is to track down and rid the city of what they call "Links".
A Link is a creature that evolved from the missing link between man and beast. The captain of the unit is Richard Page (Richard Gant, "The Bonnie Hunt Show") who is a veteran police officer who will use any method to rid the city of links. Detective Nick O'Malley (Michael Landes, "Lois and Clark: The New Adventure of Superman") is a renegade who acts first and thinks later and surprisingly this gets the job done. Detective Kate Benson (Alexondra Lee, "Party of Five") is a "big thinker" who has an unique ability of being able to track down links. Teamed with Nick, they make the perfect partners, but never seem to get romantically connected althrough they connect in that way. Carl (Danny Woodburn, "Conan") is a petty gnome thief who has turned informant for the unit in exchange for overlooking his crimes. He is always in fight with Nick. Sean Radmon (Sean Whalen, "Amazin Live Sea-Monkeys") is a college professor who informs the detectives about the technical aspects of the links, hopefully in words they can understand. (season 1) Jonathan (Jonathan Togo, "CSI: Miami") is the science guy brought in to replace Sean in season 1. Jonathan has his own unique way of delivering the facts. His methods are totally different from Sean's but he gets the job done just the same. |
