Just Melvin, Just Evil (RARE HBO Undercover): Melvin Just, a man who abused children, sexually and physically gets away with it. Having abused his step children and his own children, they discuss frankly in this film exactly what Melvin did to them. The kids eventually thought this was normal, and even begun to have sex amongst themselves as children. One of his victims makes a movie determined he will pay. Chernobyl Heart: RARE HBO AMER. UNDERCOVER This Academy Award-winning documentary takes a look at children born after the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear plant disaster . A Boy’s Life:
This is a documentary about seven year old Robert. Him and his brother Benji live with their Grandmother "Mee-Maw". Roberts Grandmother claims Robert is out of control, has tried to kill cats, and hurt himself. She also claims that Robanna, who was a teenage mother with both Robert and Benji, abused Robert. But it is soon revealed that Robert may not even have the psychological problems his Grandmother claims he has, and something much deeper and more disturbing may be going on.
Born Into Brothels: HBO America Undercover: children born into the red-light district in India. The Children of prostitutes, they live in the brothels, and often in the same rooms their mothers entertain tricks in. Most of the little girls are being groomed to be young prostitutes. Raising her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in a dilapadated trailer home, she struggles to provide them with a home, clothing, and sometimes even food.
Methadonia:
HBO Undercover: RARE Documentary follows several methadone patients through the clinic system. Called "Dose," "Liquid Handcuffs" "Methadon" and more, this doc is a very frank look at like of methadone and exposes how hard it is to get off of heroin cold-turkey. Shows how Methadone is a God send for some heroin users, and for some others, and a cheap way to get high using street-bought Xanax bars and Valium. VERY GOOD documentary.
Smashed: Toxic Tales of Teens and Alcohol:
Follows 5 kids after being in serious alcohol related accidents. Tim, who drunk beer and crashed his ATV is followed from his initial arrival at the ER, in a coma, through his extensive and painful recovery. Another teen, a passenger of a driver that was drunk, is suffering to get back to normal after being in a coma for weeks following her accident. This is EXCELLENT to show teens- I guarantee the more teens that see this the more lives will be saved. ANY teen that watches this will think twice before drinking and driving or getting into a car with someone who has. WARNING: Graphic hospital and surgery scenes.
Small Town Ecstasy: VERY RARE HBO America Undercover: A family uses Ecstasy together. Separated and divorced from his wife, Scott, a father of four kids attends raves with his oldest son and 15 year old daughter and cheerleader, Heather. Becoming so immersed in the rave/party culture, Scott gives his 13 year old son Ecstasy and 15 year old daughter Heather ecstasy and parties with his kids. His ex-wife has to go to the police in order to make her ex-husband see that giving drugs to the kids is wrong.
Crank: Made In The USA:RARE HBO: People living in Iowa try to kick using Methamphetamine addiction. One women does meth with her son and his friends, including Clay, a hopeless addict that knows he's wasting his life. One couple, a roofer and his girlfriend, live a normal life except on weekends they shoot up methamphetamine. Another young girl, 8 months pregnant, does not use meth. Her boyfriend does. One of the BEST docs on meth addiction and abuse available!
Life of Crime 1: (One Year in a life of Crime):VERY RARE HBO DOCUMENTARY: 80's film about drug addicts that support themselves shoplifting. Rob, Mike and Freddy, 3 friends, support their drug habits by shoplifting store in the Baltimore are. Freddy gets deeper into heroin, losing his wife and daughter. Mike, who seems to enjoy slapping his pregnant girlfriend on camera, is on the run from the cops, having skipped bail. WARNING: Graphic domestic violence caught on film. WARNING: Graphic IV drug use.
Life Of Crime 2: VERY RARE HBO America Undercover: 10 years later we find the same 3 people (Rob, Deliris, and Freddie) addicted and struggling to raise kids. Deliris is hooked on heroin, and after bouncing back and forth between Rob and Freddy, has her 2 young kids (Kiki and Chimo) taken away by the state. Rob, having just got out of prison, tries to make his life work by getting a job in a car lot, and attempts to stay away from drugs. Freddy, also fresh out of prison, tries a job for about 4 hours, quits, and resumes his life of heroin addiction and crime. This film is a very bleak look at how kids suffer with addicted parents. High on Crack Street:lost Lives In Lowell: VERY RARE HBO DOC: Follows the lives of Brenda, formerly an aspiring actress, and now a crack addicted prostitute; Boo-Boo her boyfriend who steals faster than he smokes a rock; and Dickie, a professional boxer who once fought Sugar Ray Leonard. Brenda, funding out that she is pregnant, must decide whether to enter rehab, get clean and have her baby....or make money by prostituting herself and get an abortion to keep using. Follow them as they smoke crack, move from house to house, hustle and fight. One of the best and most sought after HBO docs. WARNING: Graphic drug use
Black Tar Heroin: The Dark Side of the Street: RARE HBO America Undercover: Bleak look at 5 black tar heroin users in California. Oreo, a male prostitute and his girlfriend; Tracy, a female dealer and her boyfriend Ben, and more. Some are HIV positive and still turning tricks, some live in one room apartments strewn with garbage and spend all day smoking crack and shooting up. Separated from his wife "Babe" and their 3 children, Junior must steal TV antennas from rooftops in order to get enough heroin to keep him well. he tried rehab and methadone. Filmed in the early 80's in the BRONX, New York, this is a bleak look at the life of a homeless street junkie as well as a classic at the bronx of the late 70's and early 80's when heroin ruled the streets. REHAB 5 teenagers try to get clean from IV heroin and cocaine use. Together at a rehab facility, you get to hear their stories from the first try.... to rock bottom. One women, addicted to Heroin, OD's while the HBO film crew is there. Some get clean off drug buy using Suboxone, an alternative to methadone that helps addicts to get clean with no withdrawal, and stay clean by blocking the heroin high. WARNING: OD caught on film.
Dope sick Love: RARE HBO America Undercover: 2 homeless couples that are crack/heroin addicts try to survive on the streets of New York. Sebastian & Michelle, hooked on crack and heroin have a unique way of making money to support their habits. Michelle pretends to be a hooker, then shows the johns her fake badge, and let's them off with giving a "donation" instead of being "arrested". Matt and Tracy have an easier way, they simply pumps Tracy's Dad dry of money using a variety of excuses, jump into a cab, and go do crack (they smoke crack in the back of cab!) and heroin. Before the night was over, however, 15-year-old Tammy was dead. This documentary is very disturbing, and also shows some of the videotapes (blurred) that Karla and Paul made of the teenage girls they raped and murdered. Cathouse: HBO America Undercover: HBO goes inside Nevada's legal Brothel, the Bunny Ranch. Interviews the girls, including Sunset Thomas, the owner Dennis Hoff, the Madame Suzette. Undercover video catches negotiations, sex, husbands and wife's, widowers, pimps and more. Great documentary!

THIN: Thin goes inside a facility for teens and young adult women with eating disorders (Bulimia, Anorexia, binge and purge, and starvation. The girls range in age from young teens to early 30's). This is likely one of the best and most in-depth documentaries on eating disorders, how they manifest, and how they need to be treated. Four girls are followed from their arrival at the facility, through their stay. GREAT documentary on this subject!
Juvies: HBO America Undercover - Narrated by Mark Wahlberg, this griping documentary chronicles 12 teens given harsh sentences for seemingly minor crimes. Looks at some very young tragic lives being lost in a harsh prison system, instead of being rehabilitated.
Bullets in the Hood: A Bed-Stuy Story: HBO AMERICA UNDERCOVER. Terrence is 19 and lives in the housing projects Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. Guns have killed 8 of his friends, and just recently his best friend was killed. The killer was a NYC Police officer, and the killing was deemed “unjustified”. Slippin: 10 years with the bloods: A member of the bloods gang films over a 10 year period what happened to various gang members. Watch as 2 brother sell dope right outside their grandmothers home (sometimes selling to their own family members), a crack head breaks into a car, and kids living across the street see it all and look up to their "role models" VERY GOOD documentary. Latin Kings: A Street Gang Story: HBO America Undercover: Inside look at New York's most notorious street gang. High "Inca" 'King Tone' ( Antonio Fernandez - leader of the gang) actually allows cameras into his personal life. The cameras follow him, his girlfriend Myrna, their 2 children, Antonio's mother and father, and how King Tone runs the gang from his one-room apartment where he is on house arrest. Vowing to change the image of the Latin Kings, Tone preaches non-violence and Latin Unity.
