Florida 91 Hybrid tomato grows excellent in hydroponic systems and the ground as well. I will invite you to Google the words "Florida 91" and see all the rave reviews on this extraordinary heat and disease resistant tomato as well as the high prices and very low quantity of seed availability elsewhere (if you can find them). These tomato's are sought by growers in all hot climates. Please see below the studies of commercial tomato’s from the University of Florida showing this variety, FL 91 at the top of the list.
FL 91 is an extra large tomato and can get up to 10+oz. This smooth round tomato ripens to a lush red that is solid and very flavorful. This tomato is formulated by the University of Florida to take the high Florida heat. It is resistant to diseases including Alternia Stem Canker, Fusarium Wilt (races 1 and 2), Gray Leaf Spot (Seminis) and Verticillium Wilt (race 1). FL 91 is suitable for stake and bush production in the open field for fresh market and processing. This is a very versatile tomato; great for cooking, salads and sandwiches. Determinate variety and no pruning is necessary. 72 days to bear fruit from planting of 6 inch seedling. Seeds have been tested for germination on January 2009.
A mid-early determinate tomato hybrid with strong and healthy vines providing good fruit cover. The deep oblates to globe-shaped fruits are firm and have good shipping qualities. The fruits are mostly extra large in size, with an average weight of 9 to 10 oz, uniform color and jointed pedicel. The tomatoes are exceptionally firm and smooth throughout the season. One of the strong points of Florida 91 F1 is its good fruit set under hot conditions. A very stable producer with heavy yields of top quality tomatoes.
I am very committed to giving you a good bargain and good service; to prove my commitment, I promise to send you up to 100% more tomato seeds than what you are paying for; at least 50% more seeds. Soon I will have 6" seedlings for your availability. Get on our mailing list at for periodic information on seeds and seedling availability. Thank you for your interest.
