PUNISHMENT BATTALION 999 - 1960 Germany
A film about life and death in a German penal battalion during WW2. Convicts, army deserters etc. are rounded up and sent to the Eastern Front to redeem themselves in combat. They are given all the dangerous jobs like clearing minefields, digging front line trenches and recon patrols behind Soviet lines. Good East front film. Cast includes Sonja Zienmann, Georg Thomas, Werner Peters and Hienz Weiss. Quality is around 8.0 and comes with a case with artwork. Film is in German with English subtitles
