THE WINTER WAR - aka TALVISTOA - 1989 Finland
One of the best films about the Russo-Finnish war of 1939-40. The U.S.S.R. attempts to annex large parts of Finland but the Finns have other ideas. They fight! They fight so hard that the Russian death toll was a staggering 11 to 1 vs the Finns. This story follows a small group of Finns from the same small town. They go through training and into the deadly fighting of the front line. One of the best war films ever to come out of Europe. This is the full 3 hour 6 min version and is in Finnish with English sub-titles. Quality is a nice 8.5-9 and comes with a case with artwork.
Make sure your dvd player will accept dvd-r, dvd+r discs. No refunds but will promptly replace any defective disc.
