Dark Shadows Fan Fiction - The Diaries of Julia Hoffman, Volume 1 |
|
Dark Shadows Fan Fiction has existed for many years, since the demise of the original Television Series in 1971. I have my own ideas of what might have transpired had the show continued its run on ABC Daytime Television, with The Diaries of Julia Hoffman, Volume 1. Here, I have attempted to give my spin on how the series might have continued, starting in the original universe (not Parallel Time), once Barnabas, Julia and Professor Stokes returned to 1971 Collinwood from their televised travails in 1840.
Many other dedicated fans have done this over the years since the original series ended, and professional audio adventures have sprung up in recent years that do the same thing. This is just my take on what might have happened. All these fictional efforts I have dubbed The Hidden Shadows, and with future volumes of adventures, including more from the diaries of Dr. Julia Hoffman, I hope in some small way to keep the dream alive.
This work is displayed as daily journal entries, from Dr. Julia Hoffman's perspective. It includes a return to her roots, as administrator of Wyncliffe Sanitarium, our favorite booby hatch more than 100 miles up the coast from Collinsport, which Maggie and a ghostly girl named Sarah managed to cover on foot in a single night! The dates may not exactly match the precise 1971 timeline presented in the original series, but the intent to pick up where events left off is definitely there.
For those who might have attended the 2007 East Coast DS Convention in Tarrytown, NY, this is the same Volume 1 a number of you may have purchased there. While future volumes are in the works, some family illness issues have delayed their completion and release. I hope to make some of them available on sell.com in the future, and/or at the 2009 DS Convention to be held at Newark Airport in NJ over the summer.
Volume One consists of more than 70 pages, covering a period over 2 months in 1971 Collinsport and the surrounding Maine Environs. Returning characters include Sebastian Shaw, Maggie Evans, Victoria Winters, and Count Andreas Petofi, among a few other surprises.
For payment, I will accept PayPal (if you purchase via this method, I will send you the email address to post the funds to), or I will accept Money Orders ONLY, from major, well-known sources such as the US Post Office, Western Union, etc. No PERSONAL or Cashier Checks. For Pay Pal, shipping will not be delayed. For those purchasing via Money Order, there will be a delay for receipt and clearance of funds. |
