Unless marked with "b/w", they are in color. All have original
commercials unless noted. The black & white ones from the 60's come
from kinescope and were usually saved because Armed Forces Network had
a print. Almost every tape from the first 10 years was erased so they
could use the tape over again. Only a handful survive.

at midnight. Guests include Woody Allen, Criswell the psychic- who
predicts the coming year's events and appeared in Ed Wood films
including 'Plan 9 From Outer Space', actress Gila Golan ('Our Man
Flint'), William Walker, Jim Hensen and the Muppets, and a special
music opening. from NYC. 1 hour 45m complete show with original
commercials. Excellent quality!

1-31-68 (audio only) 45 minute segment where Johnny interviews
New Orleans district attorney Jim Garrison, who claims
to have evidence that solves the assassination of JFK.
Johnny does quite a bit of sparring with Garrison and
this is one of the most infamous moments in Tonight Show history. the
video is thought to have been lost but this audio tape survives in
good quality (CD)

5-6-71. Woody Allen hosts the Tonight Show from New York with guests
Bob Hope and James Coco. Only the first 55 minutes exist. Great
quality in color. Woody and Ed open by discussing their lives, then
Woody has a question and answer session with the audience, then the
guests. quite a rare find.

Malden, the Don Rickles cigarette box incident when Johnny confronts
Rickles on his "CPO Sharkey set", President of NBC Fred Silverman, Dom
DeLouise and Johnny's "egg fight", Paul Williams singing in the ape
suit, Burt Reynolds, the famous 1965 Ed Ames tomahawk chop segment,
Steve Lawrence singing "our love is here to stay". Johnny opens the
show coming out in a bed with apparently no clothes on. Also has the
Charles DeGaulle sketch. (very beginning is a little jumpy) 90m. The
