My name is Tasha Compton, and I am the Director of Artistic Writing Solutions (AWS). I started AWS back in 2000, upon my leaving Regent Entertainment Inc. (a motion picture production company that specializes in quality, low-budget films for such cable channels as HBO and the Sci-Fi Network). At Regent, we received tons of scripts from freelance writers on a weekly basis, and our job was to sift through the sea of scripts to find that "one" we thought would make an excellent prospect for a motion picture. One such script received acclaim from the Academy and won the Best Adapted Screenplay award in 1998. That film was Gods and Monsters, starring Sir Ian McKellen and Brenden Frasier. I received a credit for my work related to Gods and Monsters, as well as many other films that were undertaken during my tenure at Regent.
Now with AWS, I get the privilege of working with a vast variety of new projects that don't necessarily have to be related to the motion picture industry. I have done screenplays, book rewrites, research, the list goes on, and it even includes typing services!
