This sale is for the documentary "The Longest Night: Secrets of the Australian Cellar", the dark and unbelievable tale of Elisabeth Fritzl, an 18-year-old girl imprisoned for more than two decades in a cellar in Austria. There, her tormenter raped her. There, she gave birth to seven children. There, she was held with no sunlight, in a cramped a dark basement, with only her tormentor and her children for company. Her tormentor: Josef Fritzl, her biological father.
When Elizabeth was 16, her father claimed she ran away. Instead, he had imprisoned her in makeshift home below his own home. To reach her prison, you had to pass through 9 rooms, and move a shelf to the side to reveal a low door. Beyond that door was where Elizabeth lived, with no sunlight or contact with anyone other than her father and the 7 kids she bore him, for over 20 years. Finally, in 2008, she was discovered and freed. What police found when they searched this dark prison stunned them and the entire world.
