Whether accidential, suicide, intentional shooting, mistaken shooting, or just plain carelessness on the part of the gun owners, each story touches your heart and makes you think VERY hard about having a gun in your home and around kids or teens.

The message in this provocative documentary is that guns are a way of life in America, a tool for the just and the unjust unlike. About 2.5 million guns were manufactured in America last year; there are firearms in about half of all American homes. ''Five American Guns'' suggests that something here is deplorable when parents are burying their children at age 13 from a gun killing that never needed to happen.
