We have a fully-paid “Associate Membership” to Wilderness Resort in Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania, Virginia that we can no longer keep because we're retiring and moving out west. The (lifetime) membership sells for $15,000.00 but we're selling our membership for a one-time price of only $3,500.00. This includes the transfer of the Deed to the new owner. We’re moving out west and must sell quickly.
Wilderness is a privately owned resort that spans over 600 acres with recreational park and playground areas, RVs, lakes, indoor and outdoor pools, marina with boat rental, mini-golf, cultural & community center, fishing areas, gym, game rooms, sports areas and several more amenities. Every month they have a host of activities for families as they're very much a children and family-centered resort. You can bring your own RV/camper, rent a camper or log cabin or just pitch your own tent. They have plenty of lots and many have lake views. They're even pet friendly! They have a newsletter that's mailed out and their monthly events calendar is available online.
The campground is located in an area that has a lot of history and adjacent to Chancellors Civil War battlegrounds. The resort has a full time security department, two man-made lakes stocked with fish, boats for rent and a gym which has a full size basketball court, a craft room, TV room and a full fitness center. Your little ones can chose from 6 playgrounds throughout the park or you can chose one of the 4 tennis courts. There are several walking trails for those who like nature. The Aquatics Center includes a lap pool that is open year round, along with 2 outside pools which have slides, diving boards and lifeguards for your safety. While there try out the beach or swim in the swimming area. Even have a picnic while playing at the beach areas. There’s also an 18-hole Mini-golf course that is open year around and only cost a dollar for your family enjoyment. There is a teen center for your active teenager. The center has a snack bar and video games for entertainment. Other fun things include horseshoe pits, shuffleboard, 2 outside pavilions, a softball field and soccer field with daily planned activities. There is also an on-site general store for groceries, miscellaneous supplies and treats. There is a large grocery store (“Food Lion”) down the road only a short distance. Also in driving distance are some shopping centers, mall and several restaurants. You can even drive a few extra miles to enjoy Paramount’s Kings Dominion. Really, there is plenty to do such spending just a small amount of cash. If camping is not your thing, you can try the log cabins that are for rent.
