I am a 29 year old, healthy new mom who produces at least twice what my infant can eat. I eat well and avoid all gassy and spicy foods. I also take prenatal vitamins to make sure the milk is full of nutrients. I DO NOT smoke or drink to ensure perfectly healthy milk.
My child can't eat enough yet to prevent engorgement and so I've had to pump the excess milk in order to stay comfortable AND to keep my milk coming in. I pump milk into sterilized containers and then store and freeze them in sterile 6oz bags immediately . My freezer is full (see picture) and my infant is only a month old. While it is true that I am looking for a little extra income to help pay for daycare, it is also true that I want to help new parents feed their newborns. Natural mother's milk is 100% digestible and much better for your baby than formula. You will have to give your infant Poly-Vi-Sol drops however, because infants need Vitamin D and breast milk doesn't contain any.
