(This movie was made BEFORE Cary Stayner's crimes in the - so Cary Stayner is portrayed in the movie, but not as a killer, and no mention of the killings are in the movie, since they occurred long after this movie was made.)

The Best Little Girl in the World: (This is an old 80's "Movie of the Week") Jennifer Jason Leigh stars as a girl with anorexia nervosa. With a domineering father and a pregnant sister, Casey is seen as the best little girl, so when she begins starving herself her family is at a loss. Her father unknowingly tries to force her to eat, thinking it will solve the problem. Supporting roles by Helen Hunt and Ally Sheedy long before they were famous. Very rare movie- impossible to find. Despite being 20+ years old, this film still has educational value, and is on point about anorexia and it effects.

Empty Cradle: Kate Jackson and Lori Laughlin star in this drama about a nurse who steals a women's baby in order to keep her affair going with a married man. When he married lover finds out the baby is a girl, he is disappointed. Determined to get him a son, she sets out to steal another baby, this time, a boy. Stars Eriq LaSalle.

Identity Theft: The Michelle Brown Story: Every six minutes in America, someone's identity is stolen. Seduced by Madness: The Diane Borchardt Story: Based on real-life events, this tv-movie recounts the story of a Wisconsin teacher's aide convicted of hiring teen students first to spy on her cheating husband and later to kill him. The film begins with the murder then traces in flashback the events leading up to it, followed by the subsequent police investigation leading to arrests and eventual criminal convictions of both Borchardt and the teens.

God Bless the Child (1987): This heartbreaking movie stars Mare Whinningham as a single mother, Theresa Johnson. Her and her daughter Hillary (Grace Johnston) becomes homeless when her apartment building is sold and torn down. Working as a hotel maid, she tries to survive with her young daughter through charities and public shelters. Eventually, being on streets causes her to lose her job, but not her spirit. VERY emotional movie. STARS MOS DEF as a child actor!!!

The Baby Dance: Stockard Channing & Laura Dern star in the story of women who goes through an open adoption with a poor couple who already has several children and are neglectful to them. Very good movie. 1999.

Baby Snatcher: Nancy McKeon stars as a women who is having an affair with a married man (David Dochovaney) and gets pregnant. At the same time, another women's husband threatens to leave her. She lies and says she is pregnant in order to keep him. When she is due, the women steals the baby from Nancy Mckeown to pass of as her own. r with a married man intact. This was based on a true story.

A Cry for Help: The Tracy Thurman Story: Nancy Mckewan stars in the true story of Tracy Thurman, stalked and abused by her husband for years. Her cries for help were ignored by the police. Finally he attacks her with a knife, in front of the police and her baby son, almost killing her. Based on a True Story.

Children of the Night: (1985) (Kathleen Quinlan) A women tries to help prostitutes get off the streets, off of drugs, and away from their pimps. She begins by writing about them, and eventually opens her home to help save them.This is a classic Lifetime movie.

A Child's Cry for Help: A recently widowed doctor moves with her daughter to start at a new hospital. While there a loving mother brings her son in for treatment. The doctor suspects that there is something wrong, and theorizes that the mother is deliberately making her son sick so that she could bring him to the hospital for the attention that it gives her. When the doctor decides to restrict the mother's access to her son and is reporting her to child services, the mother in turn decides to sue the doctor and the hospital. And some of the hospital board don't agree with her diagnosis or think that she's over-reacting. And even while the mother's not allowed access to her son, he is still sick, so is the doctor right or wrong?

When Innocence is Lost: (Keri Russel): When Erica French opts to keep the baby she conceived in high school, she never dreamed that one day she would be fighting for custody against the child's father, Scott Stone. Scott Stone initially fought for custody when Erica threatened to cut off his access to their daughter. Scott continues to try to be a part of his daughter's life, but when Molly first breaks her arm at the playground then Scott's mother finds mysterious bruises on her granddaughter, Scott again fights for custody of young Molly, and this time he wins because the court feels his family can provide a more stable environment for Molly than a public daycare can.

Child of Rage: A young girl is sexually abused by her father, and taken away for foster care. When a loving couple adopts her, they find she is filled with rage and lashes out, hurting her brother and dog. (I also have the original HBO documentary this movie was based on- add it on for $5 more.)
