This is SPELLBINDER, the Complete TV Series & SPELLBINDER: LAND OF THE DRAGON LORD, the Complete Spinoff TV Series. This was a collaboration between Polish & Australian TV.

Paul Reynolds is a boy in his teens who opens a worldly portal by messing around with electricity. He's lost in a world where the industrial revolution never happened, and science doesn't exist. He becomes hunted by the leaders of this new world: The Spellbinders. They want his chemical knowledge on making gunpowder, as well as other weapons. He finds a friend, Riana who helps him through out the series. Much of the story involves Pauls plight in trying to return to his home world. It is extended, when Riana becomes lost in our world therefore throwing the storyline into reverse. The story gains a frantic pace when one of the spellbinders, Ashka realises that she can use the science of our world to dominate her own. The main characters now have to try to stop her. A fascinating series for young or old.

The cinema art is used to create the parallel worlds. Great acting by the cast, fantastic costumes & special effects.
