SYNOPSIS:
They were hired killers going up against the deadliest force of all. Each other.
A boy kidnapped by two mismatched hitmen puts them at each other's throats while being driven to their employers, possibly to be killed. Cohen, an older professional becomes increasingly irritated with his partner Tate, a brutish killer, when their prisoner uses unnatural cunning and resourcefulness to play them off against each other.
COMMENT:
This movie was a true masterpiece, Roy Scheider is at his best as a veteran hitman, an excellent story, and great performances by all. I highly recommend this film.
SPECIAL NOTE:
This movie is based on a true story.
TRIVIA:
The police cruisers seen during the finale were real Houston Police squad cars. Ford LTD Crown Victorias were used by HPD from 1983 - 1987, the last use of these squad cars was in 1993.
The finale where Cohen rams a roadblock is actually the off-ramp from Interstate 45 to McKinney Street. The building in the foreground is the Houston City Hall Annex, located at 900 Bagby.
