History Of The Air Jordan XXIII:

The final signature shoe on the Air Jordan line, the Air Jordan 23 (XX3 XXIII) Premier was released on January 25 2008, in white and Titanium - University Blue and retailed for $230. They were a limited release with only 23 pairs given to each store, and only the top Jordan stores were given a supply of these excellently designed sneakers! Only 529 were released in the U.S with serial numbers X-529, and an additional 529 were released to the rest of the world which were unnumbered. Only a total of 1,058 were released to the public worldwide! Canada had the most stores out of any international location with 5 stores total having been given a supply. A few pairs leaked onto eBay prior to the release, most of which being from Toronto. The shoes sold for above $1,000 instantly with some auctions closing for more than $2,000, and continue to be sold. Gentry Humphrey, head of footwear marketing for the Jordan Brand has said he believes it will be the last model released for the Air Jordan line. According to an article in Jet magazine, the XX3/XXXIII is the first basketball shoe to be made under the "Considered" ethos, meaning the shoe is made with the environment in mind.

Ray Allen's choice in the All Star game 2008, the Nike Air Jordan 23 XXIII feature a white leather and grey fabric upper along with uniquely and specifically placed perforations along the toe and tongue which not only form an intricate design but also act as a ventilation system, so that the bearer’s foot does not overheat. The side panels feature a unique design constructed from a blue and white color scheme. The tongue of the left and right are different for a first time with a Jumpman on the right shoe and “23 on the left. Lastly what starts at the front of the shoe and extends the full length is a metallic, glossy panel that covers the midsole body of the sneaker. Performance wise, is it at the top of its game, consisting of the previously seen IPS (Independent Podular Suspension) system, as well as a carbon fiber plate which extends along the bottom the of sole which is said to be modeled after Michael Jordan’s thumb print.
