Russian double agent Eberlin (Harvey) has long been posing as a British Spy in England. But after having spent 18 years there, he feels like a man without a country, and wishes to return home to Russia. His life is further complicated when British Intelligence assigns him to eliminate a Russian double agent, which is in reality - himself!!
If you're a fan of Laurence Harvey, this film is essential. It is also one of Mia Farrow's best, her first movie role, shot just prior to Rosemary's Baby. Laurence Harvey took over as Director when Anthony Mann died partway through production. Superior to The Spy Who Came in From the Cold, it exhibits some impressive creative use of visuals and sound.
This dvd is taken from a commercial video source and time-base corrected (image processed) through a professional VCR. Image and sound quality are excellent, 9 out of 10. Comes in a jewel case with front artwork.
