This AMC 343 crate engine by Tuff Dawg Engines would be EXCELLENT for that AMC, AMX, Javelin, etc. It
will set you back in the seat with good all around power and has a nice muscle car idle. This engine comes equipped with a Edelbrock Dual Plane Air Gap square bore flange intake and will run on leaded or unleaded Premium pump
fuel.
The balanced rotating assembly (typically includes crankshaft,
pistons, rings, connecting rods, rod bearings, and balancer) featured in
this engine:
- 3.280" stroke forged steel crank
- 5.750" forged connecting rods reconditioned with ARP rod bolts
- 10 to 1 compression pistons

- New CompCam Hydraulic flat tappet cam
- 54cc heads with 2.02"Int/1.680"Exh valves
- New 1.440" high performance springs setup to match cam

- New Edelbrock RPM Air Gap aluminum intake manifold - The Air
Gap design features an open air space that separates the runners from the
hot engine oil that results in a cooler, denser charge for more power.
This intake also has provisions for the oil filler tube and the popular
3/4" PCV valve
- Oiling modifications include a front to rear steel oil tube - This
steel tube takes oil from the front of the block to the rear of the block
where it is needed most. Lifter valley drilled for faster oil return to the oil pan.
- All parts are painted separately before assembly for that show quality
look
This engine comes completely assembled with oil
pan, timing cover, harmonic balancer, chrome valve covers, and an
Edelbrock Dual Plane Air Gap aluminum intake manifold.
This engine is custom built from start to finish in our

This engine is covered by a 12 month, 12,000 mile written warranty.
