The Marais Poitevin region near the Western Atlantic Coast of France is often referred to as "The Green Venice of France"..a series of canals were dug by MONKS in the 13th and 14th Century..and to this day..cattle is moved from pasture to pasture on special BARGES. There are a few charming villages and historic sites and traditional gourmet restaurants.

The region is also a popular ecological area,estuary and birdwatchers paradise. Located about 45 minutes north of La Rochelle, where the artist Jeff Sterling has maintained a small atelier-studio for nearly 5 years.

Today's featured listing shows the artists' love of nature..created with India Ink,oil pastels and watercolor on 9" X 12" acid free watercolor paper..this art will be shipped already encased in a clear plastic/acrylic photo-type 'box frame' for IMMEDIATE DISPLAY.
