Dave Archer Reverse Glass Space Paintings

This is an original Dave Archer 4 piece set.

These are original Dave Archer reverse glass paintings much like the ones that were used in the original Star Trek series. I collected these over several years doing work as the webmaster for both Dave Archer and his art dealer, Linda Rieger from the Rieger Fine Art gallery. Linda did the appraisal below for all 4 pieces. The slide show matches the exact order of how they are listed below. Number three in the slide show is Leviathan with the large tan colored planet, a huge glass painting which Dave told me was his greatest work of all times. It really has an explosion of color in it, showing a very realistic rendition of the chaos of the universe.

He was using it as a demo, not intending to sell it. I had inquired into the piece several times, but he wasn't willing to part with it, until finally he agreed to part with it, in exchange for quite a bit of work I had done on his website. Blue Fantasy is a really cool mix of aqua blues, very charming piece. Dragon's Breathe offers again the chaos of the universe and is really quite stunning with the right lighting. Reassurance is much less complicated piece, but awesome with the large Red planet and the aqua blues mixed in. It's my second favorite piece in the collection.

All 4 pieces look brilliantly together as a set to spice up any room, but they respond much better to the right lighting, especially lamps installed for just that purpose. They are framed in the traditional black frames Dave uses with all the details about the paintings on the back of each. This set is in great condition like the day I acquired them. This paintings are especially admired by the Japanese for religious reasons, and sell well in Japan, but have been sold all over the world in art galleries and art shows.

I am offering all 4 pieces together for the price of Leviathan alone. It's like getting the other 3 paintings for free, and Reassurance alone is appraised at $6000 dollars, so all together this is a real bargain. It's a blowout sale, because I need the money for medical bills past due. Total appraised value is $23,300, so the total asking price of $9,000 really is a great deal for the elites or anyone who really likes them and has the funds to buy them. They have heavy duty wires for hanging, and the glass is quite thick and durable.

These paintings were created using millions of volts of electricity by a process very few people have mastered. Dave was the original creator of this process for many years. I have seen the process in action and its very impressive indeed. They take many steps to create over time, and the process is quite tedious, but they produce an effect that is second to none and can only be created this way with electricity and paint on the back of the glass, thus called reverse glass.

They will be packed and padded very carefully in solid containers, with insurance if possible. The buyer can also pick them up in California.
