I just passed Step 1 and no longer need these books. These books are in very good condition. There are 8 books in total (7 lecture books and 1 Q-Book). There are notes written in them taken from the Kaplan lectures, but that may actually be a good thing (for example, I put a smiley face next to the sections that the Kaplan instructors indicated were frequently asked questions on the exam).
Also included along with each lecture book are the accompanying Assesment Exams. They are filled out (with pencil), but should still be useful.
