4-Bolt Main Block, Rectangular Port Heads #3512 Block - #291 Heads - #569 Intake
This is your chance to have a LS6 Clone with a #3512 4-bolt main block, #291 closed chamber rectangular port heads, and an aluminum low profile #569 intake.
The balanced rotating assembly includes:
- Forged Steel crank casting #7416, magnaflux checked for cracks,
reground .010 on mains, .010 on rods, all oil holes chamfered and micro
polished
- 6.135" Factory forged steel "dimple" rods resized with
aftermarket rod bolts and nuts for added strength
- Speed-Pro .030" oversized Forged domed pistons
- Perfect Circle moly rings
More special features of this engine include:
- Block casting #3963512 - Date code E 7 70 = May 7, 1970
- Head casting #3964291
- Intake manifold casting #3963569 - Aluminum intake with Snowflake

This engine was completely rebuilt -
- Block was vatted, magnaflux checked for cracks, thermal cleaned,
steelabrated, oil gallery plugs removed and galleries brushed. New oil
gallery plugs and brass expansion plugs installed after cleaning. All
cylinders bored, honed and plateau honed with torque plate to fit
Speed-Pro .030" forged domed pistons
- Heads were completely rebuilt including vatting, magnaflux check for
cracks, thermal cleaned, steelabrated, all New 2.190"Int/1.880"Exh
stainless valves, valve guides, and hardened exhaust seats for use
with leaded or unleaded fuel. Both heads milled to put a fresh
finish on them to ensure a good long lasting head gasket seal
Only top quality parts were used in this engine including:
- Speed-Pro forged pistons
- Perfect Circle Rings
- Clevite77 Engine bearings (main, rod, and camshaft)
- CompCams Solid lift camshaft - same as original LS6
- Clevite Double roller timing chain set made by Cloyes
- Clevite High Volume oil pump made by Melling
- Fel-Pro gaskets including the revolutionary 1-pc design molded
rubber oil pan gasket with load limiters to prevent over-tightening and
higher temperature resistance than standard cork-rubber gaskets
- CompCams Roller tip rockers with 1.7 ratio and hardened guide
plates for accurate valve lift along with hardened push rods for added
strength
- CompCams Guide plates
- ARP Screw-in studs
- To keep that Restoration look all parts were painted separately before
assembly, and chrome OEM style valve covers with the dip in drivers rear
to clear a power brake booster installed. The timing cover is the
original with the AOR marker
