Hi Performance Balanced Crate-type Engine
This Chevy 327 crate engine by Tuff Dawg Engines would be EXCELLENT for just about any street car,
pickup truck, 4X4, and some marine applications (call or email us for
details). With 335HP @ 5000rpm and 393ft lbs
of torque @ 4000rpm it has good all around power, and works well with either
a manual or automatic transmission. This engine has enough cam to let you
know it has good all around power but not too big as to need to change to a
different stall speed converter. The included intake manifold comes with
a square bore carb flange and works best with a Holley 650 carb (carb not included). This engine will run on leaded or unleaded pump
fuel.
The balanced rotating assembly (typically includes crankshaft,
pistons, rings, connecting rods, rod bearings, and balancer) featured in
this engine:
- 3.250" stroke crank
- 5.7" forged rods with ARP rod bolts
- 9 to 1 compression flat top pistons

- Deck head gasket surface on block to ensure a good seal
- New CompCams hydraulic flat tappet high performance cam
- Heads with 1.940"Int/1.500"Exh valves
- New 1.250" high performance springs set up to match cam

- Engine is set up for use with a spin-on oil filter
- Crank nose is drilled and tapped for bolt for added strength
- All parts are painted separately before assembly for that show quality

This engine comes completely assembled with oil pan, driver side chrome
dipstick and tube, chrome timing cover with Chevy Bowtie emblem, harmonic
balancer, chrome valve covers with Chevy Bowtie emblem, and an Edelbrock
(non-egr) Dual Plane Performer RPM aluminum intake manifold.
