This coin has been graded by NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation one of the top grading services available and has an Extra nice grade of MS 64RD, This Beautiful Un-Circulated Coin commemorates the 40th Anniversary of the Attack on the Moncada Army Barracks near Santiago de Cuba on July 26, 1953.

Because the American dollar is not accepted in Cuba, all money is changed into Cuban Convertible Peso’s. This coin is the “Real Deal” – A Non-Convertible Peso.

You can tell the difference between a Convertible Coin and a Non-Convertible Coin by it’s images. Convertible coins have different images of touristic/historic places of Cuba and are more easily obtained.

A Non-Convertible Coin will have an image of a Cuban Patriot/historical personality on the front like Fidel Castro, Raul Castro, Jose Marti, Camilo Cienfuegos, or Che Guerrilla, etc and are more difficult to obtain.
