Grandview U.S.A. is a poignant entertaining look into the lives and feelings of small town folks. Set in the midwest, the movie boasts a large and diverse cast of charactars. Slam Webster (Patrick Swayze) is a blue collar worker who spends his free time demolishing cars at the local speedway which is owned by the attractive Mike Cody (Jamie Lee Curtis), in addition to their shared automotive interests Slam and Mike have a strong romantic bond. Their longwinded relationship seems solid until Mike suddenly finds herself attracted to a younger man --18 year old Tim Pearson (C. Thomas Howell).
