The item listed is a handmade, light-weight, fly-fishing fly wallet on a lanyard.

You won’t have to fish through your big pockets in your vest looking for your fly box. In fact, with our matching lanyard, you won’t need a vest. Your flies are always at your finger tips. With the lanyard, it won’t fall out of your pocket!

I’ve spent the last year “tinkering” with my fly wallet, and here are the specs of what I have created:

1. The wallet is made of a leather-looking vinyl, which is the same material used to upholster leather seating in vehicles, so it is very durable.
2. When opened, it measures 10” long by 6” wide.
3. When folded, it measures 4” high by 6” wide.
4. The fly pad measures 6” by 6” and is made of a plush felt. Softly place your flies into this felt, and when they are ready to use, you can pull them straight out.
5. Under the fly pad is a pocket that measures the same size as the pad. You can use this to store your indicators (I keep toothpicks also, which when used with my indicators, keeps them securely in place), packs of leaders, or anything else you might need.
6. There are two sets of heavy duty snaps. One set is on the outside to clasp when folded. The other set, keeps the fly pad closed tightly.
7. The lanyard is made of 1/8-inch durable suede lace. The entire length, including the wallet is 29”. (If you are over 6’2”, let me know, so I can make a longer lanyard for you.)
8. The 16” of wooden beads at the top of the lanyard makes it hang comfortably on your neck. You can increase or decrease the length with the drawstring cap, and you can keep the beads in place by easily sliding the “adjustment lace” to your preferred length.
9. The lanyard moves freely through two eye rings, which are placed in the top fold. When you need a fly, simply slide the wallet up, and when you’re done, slide it to your back and out of your way.
10. The alligator clip can be attached your shirt to keep the wallet close to your body as you lean over to net your fish.
