Guns Of Will Sonnett
After a succesful run on his comedy series, "The Real McCoys,"three-time Academy award winner, Walter Brennan returned to a genre we were more accustomed to seeing him in, a western.
The program was ABC TV's, "Guns Of Will Sonnett." Brennan was Will and Dack Rambo was his grandson, Jeff Sonnett.
The pair roamed the West of the 1970's in search of Jeff's gun slinging father, James, a man he'd never known.
"Guns Of Will Sonnett" was shot in Color at a half-hour in length.The show debuted on Sept.8-1967 and ran for 50 episodes before retiring on Sept. 15-1969.
Walter Brennan died on Sept. 21-1974 at the age of 80.
Dack Rambo died of Aids. 1994
The man they searched for, James Sonnett, was played by Jason Evers who now resides in Los Angeles.
Will Sonnet's trademark line was, "No Brag, Just Fact," and the fact is that "Guns Of Will Sonnett" was an excellant TV Western.
