Gucci Authenticity Guide

There are a few signs that will tell you whether a Gucci bag is authentic.
The style number of the bag should be CLEARLY embossed on the underside of the tag. It should be deeply embossed, not lightly. The style number should match the number on the tag.
The Gucci, Made in Italy tag should be deeply embossed, not lightly.
If you have a jacquard bag, the seems should be a perfect of each other and line up perfectly.
The lining on the Gucci bag should be heavy. The colors are not always consistent though. This depends on which factory the bag was made.
Zippers should all run smoothly.
Not all Gucci zipper pulls are stamped, particularly if they are small. Larger zipper pulls are usually stamped.
The dust bag should have a Gucci tag on the inside. It should have a serial number. Gucci is phasing out the black jacquard dustbag and implementing the thick felt-like brown bag with Gucci imprinted in gold.
All Gucci handbags come with a white care card.
All Gucci bags come with a grey and white controllato card.
Guccis do NOT come with a black credit card like authenticity card. This is a tell tale sign of non authentic. Hope this helps if you are looking for TRUE authentics.
