Super Series 1976
- Wings of Soviets vs Buffalo Sabres Hockey DVD
Summit Series 1972 and 1974
have started the greatest tradition in international hockey of last century
- the best players of North American clubs versus the best of Soviet
players!
Starting in 1975-1976 the format of the series
has been slightly changed and since then this exciting competition was played on
a club level. Also, the series were renamed to Super Series.
At the end of 1975 two Soviet clubs (Red Army and Wings
of Soviets) went to match up against NHL clubs and played 4 games each in Super
Series 1976.
This is a DVD disk with a hockey game between the
Wings of Soviets and the Buffalo Sabres played on January 4th, 1976
in Buffalo.
This is a one-of-a-kind game in the international hockey
history as the Soviet team have never lost a hockey game with such a shocking
score, not before and not after this game! If you don't know the score - I don't
want to spoil it :), but if you already know it - you know what I'm talking
about! I have to mention though that this game was the only one the Wings
of Soviets have lost in Super Series 1976, which they finished with 3W-1L-0T
record.
Players introduction, all 3 periods minus intermissions and commercials
are included on this DVD as well as best player selection (Martin, Korab and
Gare) and interviews with Martin, Korab and McNab!
DVD has fully featured menu with chapters, disk has a nice label and
comes in a DVD case with insert. This disk is in NTSC format and
region free.
