- the best players of North American clubs versus the best of Soviet
players!
Starting in 1975-1976 the format of the series
has been slightly changed and since then this exciting competition was played on
a club level. Also, the series were renamed to Super Series.
At the end of 1975 two Soviet clubs (Red Army and Wings
of Soviets) went to match up against NHL clubs and played 4 games each in Super
Series 1976.
This is a DVD disk with hockey game between the
CSKA (aka Soviet Red Army) and the Boston Bruins played on January 8th, 1976
in Boston.
This was a 3rd game played by CSKA club. Bruins,
coached by Don Cherry, opened the scoring of the game only in second
period, but Kharlamov with couple of goals quickly put Soviets in a lead. Wide
open and fast game!
Players introductions, 3 periods of the game, interviews with Phil
Esposito between periods and 3 star selection are included on this DVD, no
intermissions or commercials . Also, disk includes an after-game interview
with Howie Meeker.
DVD has fully
featured menu with chapters, disk has a nice label and comes in a DVD
case with insert. This disk is in NTSC format and region free.
