FRANKENSTEIN for Al Adamson!) as the Token Anglo in an otherwise all-Japanese cast, which was typical for the era in that it insured better success for the international markets.

Those who grew up on this Americanized (i.e. bastardized) version of WAR OF THE GARGANTUAS on their local t.v. station where it played in endless syndication will be delighted to see it again. It truly harkens back to a more innocent era when c.g.i. and 200 million dollar budgets would have seemed as unthinkable as not using men in rubber suits for the giant monsters! With direction by Honda, special effects by his old pal Ejii Tsuburaya, and the rousing, memorable musical score by Akira Ikufube -- the same triumphant trio behind the classic, original GODZILLA -- WAR OF THE GARGANTAUS marks one of the last great kaiju efforts by the masters who created the genre.

The storyline? Green gargantua versus brown gargantua, of course! One evil, the other good, both spawned from the same genetic material (hence it's sequel status to FRANKENSTEIN CONQUERS THE WORLD), locked in an eternal battle to see who will survive and dominate the Earth!
