For your consideration is one Cuba Moncada Anniversary 1993 One Peso Coin with the image of Fidel Castro on the front of the coin.

This beautiful Un-circulated coin commemorates the 40th Anniversary of the Attack on the Moncada Army Barracks near Santiago de Cuba on July 26,1953.

This Large Coin measures approximately 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches.

Because the American dollar is not accepted in Cuba, all money is changed into Cuban Convertible Peso’s. This coin is the “Real Deal” – A Non-Convertible Peso.

You can tell the difference between a Convertible Coin and a Non-Convertible Coin by it’s images. Convertible coins have different images of touristic/historic places of Cuba and are more easily obtained.

A Non-Convertible Coin will have an image of a Cuban Patriot/historical personality on the front like Fidel Castro, Raul Castro, Jose Marti, Camilo Cienfuegos, or Che Guerrilla, etc and are more difficult to obtain.
Even if the “door’s” open to Cuba, it is highly unlikely that Castro will ever allow these coins outside of his country.
