P-40 Steel Penny Collectible

Three authentic 1943 Steel Pennies, one from each US Mint (D,P,S) displayed in a Flying Tiger P-40 collectible case. During the war, copper was scarce so the US Government produced these zinc coated steel pennies only during 1943. Claire L. Chennault served as a special advisor to the Chinese Air Force during WWII and formed the American Volunteer Group (AVG) Nicknamed the "Flying Tigers". Dates are very visable with no rust.
