Classified Details CF Martin Soprano Uke Style O Excellent Condition
003a.jpg

This ukulele is a CF Martin Soprano, Style "O", manufactured between 1947 and 1951. This date is estimated by looking at the "small frett dots", larger ones were used from 1951 to 1956. Prior to 1947 there were 4 sets of dots, as opposed to 3. The logo, on the inside back of the uke, CF Martin Nazareth, Pa. indicates that it was manufactured prior to 1957. The "shade" of this uke, medium stained Spanish Mahogeny, also indicates the manufacture style of the late 40's to early '50's. They were stained much darker in later years, then very light after 1957.

This uke is in remarkable condition, no sign of cracks or repairs. It is "light as a feather", which is due to using thin panels, which act also to bring out more sound. You can see by the photos, there is no frett wear, or indented fingerboard.

The sound is beautiful, and for a small soprano, puts out quite a bit of sound. Priced at $750, someone will have a beautiful instrument at a reasonable price. Cheaper Martins usually have had repaire, or have been mis-used over the years, or are real ratty in appearance.

I can be contacted by email; , or by phone; (808 722-8874. Please call between the hours of 8AM and 9PM Hawaiian Standard time (6 hours earlier than East Coast time, 3 hours earlier than West Coast time). If it is bid on before September 7th, I will accept $650, and absorb the shipping cost, USPS Priority Mail.

I will accept any kind of check, personal checks need 10 working days after deposit, to clear. Money orders or electronic transfer OK.

Lots of Aloha .......T
