People come up to us all the time and want to talk about the boat

You Don’t Have To Baby This Boat

Use For Pleasure or Work Boat

It has been in inside storage for about 7 years.

Our boat was made by my kids and I in 1995. We used it almost every summer weekend for 5 years. We had 13 people in this boat at one time and just ran out of room for more to sit. It handles loads well.

My disability became too much for me and we discovered my wife had cancer and she died a year later.

Only reason this is being sold is because of my health.

I originally put a 120 Mercruiser in it for power but due to usability during colder months I replaced it with an outboard motor and gas tank mounting and installed a Force 125 hp. It currently goes about 30 mph depending on load with current motor.

It has never leaked one drop of water and the hull has never cracked or been damaged. It is built extremely strong.

It beaches well and doesn’t hang on beaches like V hulls. It is 28 and 3/4 feet long by 8 feet wide so you can be easily trailer it anywhere with adaqute truck. The hull has a flat bottom for shallow draft of about 12" + motor shaft for some shallow rivers around were we live. We have also had it on Lake Michigan in 3 and 4 foot swells. It handled well but I wouldn't want to get sideways in a trough without power.

The large cabin and flat bottom make for some side to side sway but it was never enough for me to install a keel piece. The current motor is a Force 125hp outboard. It pushes the boat about 30 mph. The hull is made of 1/4 aluminum plate and angle. The main cabin sides are made of 1/4" plywood and the roof is 2 layers of 1/4" plywood. All of the wood is covered with a layer of epoxy. The cabin edges also have a layer of fiberglass tape. We built it off the Glen-L “Hunky Dory” plans. You can walk around the cabin with the hand rails on top of cabin.

Because it is made of aluminum it is very low maintenance. Another is it doesn't rust. Aluminum is not good for prolonged time in saltwater.

The trailer is also made of aluminum with a steel gooseneck tongue. It also has an electric jack. Very nice. No more cranking. I made the trailer with a flat deck so it could be used to haul cars, etc if I took the boat off. The cabin has been modified a few times to provide more cabin room.

You can also modify it if you too so desire.

It has a dash mounted AM/FM/CD stereo, Raytheon fish finder and Raytheon marine radio. The dash and cabin are lined on the inside with stained wood. The dash has approx. 9 gauges for tachometer2 gas tanks, temperature, oil pressure, etc. On the very front of the bow you can see a white remote controlled spotlight. It is controlled from the dash for on/off and up/down and right/left direction. Very handy for night cruising. The cabin has 2 captain chairs (conversion van type). One for the driver and one for a front side passenger. Behind the captain chairs are 2 opposing bench seats 6 feet in length. If you look at the pictures, they are behind the large windows on the sides. The bench seats fold down to provide a double bed. The back door is from a camping trailer. Complete with integrated screen door and keyed lock. The main cabin has overhead rod racks that will hold 24 fishing rods. The small aluminum cabin (round windows) forward of the main cabin is somewhat small for 2 adult people to stretch out and sleep. One adult or two children is better. It also can be just used for storage of food and gear.

If you were to build the hull from scratch you would have approximately my price in just materials. Then add your welder, supplies and labor. Plus complete rigging and electronics and motor.

You would also have to build or buy a trailer.

It is also worth approximately $7 - 8,000 parted out and aluminum scraped.

Boat will be in good running condition and ready to go in the water upon buyer possession.

I can deliver to lower 48 states or arrange transport for extra cost.

Truck not included, but available at extra cost.
