Superdad Ken Olin ("Thirtysomething") leaves the kids behind when he joins an anti-mafia task force to catch the killer of his partner. In a dark, anonymous town somewhere near the Canadian border, Joe Pantoliano ("The Sopranos") is a lethal mobster keeping watch on his "friend" – Jason Gedrick ("Boomtown")– who's taken the fall for a murder Pantoliano probably committed.
The men's lives twist together in an ever-tightening noose in this tale of greed and treachery. The innovative series broke new narrative ground by telling its tale from three different points of view. Paul Haggis, executive producer, writer and director of the pilot, won two Academy Awards in 2006 for his movie, Crash.
