George Lucas was convinced that television is the medium for education as well as entertainment. In 1992 he wanted to make an interactive educational series with the young Indiana Jones as narrator. The young Indy would meet many famous people and would have an influence on important historical events without even knowing it. And besides the history lesson, Lucas wanted to show us what made the adventurer we know from Raiders of the Lost Ark and the two following films.
The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles was based on the Indiana Jones series of films. The series follows Indiana Jones (as a young boy and as a young man) as he was growing up and experiencing his early adventures, where he gets into trouble, learns life lessons and encounters various historical figures along the way.
The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles was filmed on location all over the world ~ including England, Russia, Spain, Czechoslovakia, Kenya, France, India, China, Austria, Egypt, the United States, Morocco, Ireland, Italy, Africa, Turkey, Greece and Thailand.
The original Young Indiana Jones Chronicles TV-series first aired on ABC in March 1992 and ran for three seasons (1992 - 1994). The last chapter actually aired in June 1996. There were a total of 36 aired episodes all at 45 minutes each.
All the episodes of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles TV-series from the early 90's have been edited into 22 movies or chapters to be released together with the re-release of the Indiana Jones trilogy in The Complete Adventures of Indiana Jones series on VHS in 1999
This collection is all 22 Chapters on 11 DVDs and the quality levels of these recordings are 9 to 9.5 out of 10.

This keeps this DVD set nicely stored in one place (as long as they get put back when you've finished viewing then!) You can quickly flip through the DVDs to find just the one you're looking for and there are NO FINGER PRINTS, SCRATCHES or DUST! Many or most of the cases being offered, just stack the DVDs right on top of each other! This Makes it real easy for the DVDs to get scratched!
Plus, it's a real hassle to get one of the discs from the middle of the stack!
Please Note: We are no longer using labels on the DVDs because of the serious impact they have on the DVDs playability. Each DVD comes with the TV series title and the Disc number clearly marked on it.
